Oh My Gosh! We are DONE!

I am so excited right now, I can hardly contain myself. We are completely done with everything for our adoption. All we have to do now is be patient and wait. The home study went really well. I was so anxious for it, and then he was 1/2 hour late. I was going crazy. It was so relaxed and easy. He just asked us a few things like, "Where do you keep medications?" "Where do you keep cleaning solutions and other chemicals?" Then we gave him a really quick tour of the apartment. I think he was more interested in our turtles. He kept asking questions about them and looking at them. He thought it was neat that we had turtles. He said that we were the first adoptive couple he has met that had aquariums. Most people have dogs or cats or something. He thought it was neat. We do too! We love our turtles!
While he was here, he told us that he is working with a couple that has not even done all their paperwork and they have an adoption all set up. They new someone that wants to give them their baby, and she is due in April. Are you kidding me? They will be parents 2 months after their paperwork is done. So exciting!!! It gives me so much hope to know that people get kids fast. I don't want to wait forever, but I will wait as long as it takes for the right girl to find us and want us to be her baby's parents. This is sooooooo exciting!!! I can't believe we are done. I know I keep saying that, but I can't handle myself. My whole body feels at peace like I just accomplished something so great that I never thought I could do.
If you know anyone that is wanting to place their baby for adoption, please don't hesitate to point them in our direction. If it's not right, then she will move on and so will we. We will post our profile address as soon as we get it. Until then, anyone is welcome to look at our adoption blog. oaksfamilytree.blogspot.com or just click on the button "someone's missing" on the left of this blog.
Thank you for your continuous prayers and all your kind words. We have so much support and we want you all to know that we love you so much. Any baby that comes into our home will be loved by so many people, I know it. We have the best support group anyone could ask for. Thank you.

Oh my goodness! That's so exciting. And your "someone's missing" button is so cute. You guys are going to be adorable when a little baby replaces that heart. I hope everything goes well, and that someone special will find you soon. Keep smiling!

HOORAY! Congratulations! I have been so behind on everything, I didn't even know you were going through the adoption process (shows how often I've gotten on to blog, and how out of touch I am with everything.) I miss you a ton! Our 5 year reunion is this year... I can't wait! I hope to see you there!
