Our First Place!

Well, we moved in on Saturday, June 12th 2010. We had everything unloaded by 2:30 in the afternoon. I got busy working as fast as I could to get this place ready for my mom, dad and Jason to come stay a week later. I can't believe how much I got done before they came, but I held off to decorate until my mom was here. I am so glad I did that because we came up with some really cool ideas together. Here are a bunch of pictures of our place and all we have done.
This is what our yard looked like when we got here.

Then we put in our garden. I gave Mark a rototiller for Father's Day.

Then, while my family was here, my Dad and Jason surprised us and went out and weeded the rest of the yard. It looks so nice now. Thanks guys!

This is our living room before. And after
The chest the turtle tank is on was really old and kinda ugly. So I painted it and then my mom came up with the idea to screw a picture frame on it. I LOVE it now!Our kitchen and dining room.
I will post a lot more pictures later when I finish some of the other projects I am working on.

Happy Fourth of July to everyone! I was pretty sad this morning about not getting to be in Idaho for the fireworks and stuff, but we just watched the Prescott Valley fireworks and they were AWESOME! We live right across the street from where they do them, so we had some friends over and sat on our balcony. It was a great show and lasted close to 30 minutes. We had the best seats ever and we didn't have to deal with traffic.
I am so proud to be an American and to have so much freedom. It was great to celebrate our freedom on a Sunday and to be able to remember our Savior and the freedom he gave us. I hope everyone had a great 4th. Love you all!

Congrats on the new house. It looks great. I bet it was so nice to have visitors. Your mom was sure excited to get down there. I'm glad you enjoyed the local festivities for the Fourth of July. We missed you up here. That's pretty cool that you didn't have to deal with the traffic. Can't wait to see what else you're working on!

I love your house too, Colie! How fun to have your own place. I sure wish we could see you guys more often, but it sounds like you're very happy down in AZ. :) Good for you!
